"Knowledge is power...a good bartender should never stop learning and developing new skills"
Stirring and sloshing, rinsing and wiping, pouring and garnishing, with a fry cook's retention and an acrobat's timing, he virtually dances through his shift, skating, as it were, on the chunky ice he scoops with furious delicacy into each glass.

SHAKER MANDELA DAY 17th July 2011
Posted at 15:35 by Vlad Klaic

Shaker participate in 67min of charity, dedicated to a man who made a difference in the world.

Nelson Mandela day

The 17th of July 2011 saw a chance for everybody to do their bit for charity and as always Shaker jumped at the opportunity. Aside from the regular activities, Shaker wanted to participate in a different way. This saw Shaker going on a bike run in junction with Cape Town Vespa Club, SA Scooters and Cape Town Bike festival. The idea was to go to an animal shelter and help out with walking the dogs, grooming cats, painting walls and building a few kennels for 67min of our time.

Needless to say the turn out was great and the day was an epic success!
