Case Study - BAT - Ogilvy - Maphindi's

Background

British American Tobacco commissioned Ogilvy with designing a reward program for BAT customers. SHAKER created several consultancy packages giving the BAT customers an opportunity to tailor make a training program for their specific needs.

Shortly after the program was launched, SHAKER was delighted to find that the famous Mahpindi's requested SHAKER's services. Now for you that are not familiar with Maphindi's, you are seriously missing out on some 'Proudly South African' culture. Maphindi's is one rocking butchery and 'Braai restaurant' in the heart of Nyanga just off the N2. You choose your meat and they prepare it for you according to your taste, how good is that?

Their "No one does it better than Maphindi's" philosophy has served to strengthen the business by forming a partnership with their customers. They strive to be the best in what they do. No wonder SHAKER was the obvious choice when Maphindi’s decided they wanted to up their game in the Customer Service department.

What Shaker Did

SHAKER created a very interactive and fun course for all the Maphindi's staff, focussing on basic Customer Service, then taking it up a notch with Service Excellence. It was an open forum for ideas and experiences as well. Enabling all involved to learn from each other.

The Result: One very efficient and effective Maphindi's A-Team Maphindi's customers now enjoy the new and improved Maphindi's, but with the same good old South African flavour - 'Sharp!'
