Anil was pivotal in setting up Shaker UK in 2001 and has trained more than 800 bartenders since. As a competition bartender he has been a finalist many times including, Winning TGI Fridays Birmingham Flair, Roadhouse World Flair Finalist, Northern Flair League Champion (2004) and National Bartenders Challenge (2000). His flair in training has taken him worldwide. He is currently holds the title of King of Africa and was ranked number 7 in the world at the International SKYE Vodka Flair Championship. Not a bartender to shy away from mixology placing second in the Santa Fe Bartenders Challenge in 2005 and finished 2nd in the SA Nationals Qualifiers.

Mikhael is our Barista trainer and a highly regarded Coffee Barista himself.

Michael takes all our coffee courses and training and is available to go on site visits for coffee consultancy.

Nick decided to set up Shaker SA after meeting Adam Freeth (UK director) on an export workshop in Birmingham. He already runs a successful corporate experiential training company in the UK called 'Purple Monster' which he set up with Alan Heap and Carol Tallis, Nick was an actor for over 8 years before that. He performed mainly in the theatre but also on Television in commercials and series such as 'The Bill'.

Nick is responsible for the strategy and development of both Purple Monster and now Shaker SA. He also designs and implements management training programs for SHAKER, One very busy man

Pieter has been in the industry for over 14 years bringing a wealth of on and off trade experience to our team. As a profesional and competitive Cocktail Flair tender he has won numerous competitions including the SA Rookie Championships, Cape Town Industry Flair Fhamps. He is one of the top flairtenders in South Africa and rates with some of the top mixologists in the world.

Pieter is the co founder of the Cape Flair Society, a charity that helps develop Flair in South Africa and Organises the local industry Bartending Competitions.

Always eager to go the extra mile Pete is the perfect Event Manager with no challenge to big for him.

Vlad has been in this industry since high school and has been
doing events for as long as he can remember. He has worked
for various bar companies across Cape Town and he has been
well involved in the mixology side of things. Vlad is a certified Bacardi and Tezon Ambassodor and is also an ambassador of cocktail making. He has won a few mixology comps all over South Africa and is rapidly getting into flairing now. He’s now currently working as one of our top class instructors here at Shaker Cape Town.
